Jennifer Kischner Steen '97 graduated with a double major, English and Spanish, after coming to Hollins in large part to the riding program. In four years riding for the Green and Gold, Jennifer won numerous ribbons and was well decorated for her time in the saddle. During her four year tenure, 1994-1997, Jennifer and her teammates won the ODAC Championship each of those seasons. Individually, Jennifer was named All ODAC three times and was named ODAC Rider of the Year in 1997. On the national stage, she was named IHSA National Champion for Novice Over Fences in 1994.  The next year, 1995, Jennifer was named National Champion for Intermediate on the Flat and in 1996, she brought home a third National Championship award in Intermediate Over Fences.
