  • Hollins Runner-Up At ODAC Championships
    April 13, 2019
    After completing their Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) regular season, the Hollins riders took aim at yet another Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship. Hollins last claimed the conference crown in 2017 and looked at add Championship number 22 to their collection.
  • Sheffer Wins At Zone Finals

    Caitlyn Sheffer represented Hollins Riding at Zone 4 Finals in Open Flat and Open Fences. She competed against 9 other riders in each class who also placed first or second at their regional championships to advance to zones.
  • Riders Finish Fourth At IHSA Regional Show

    With the end of the regular season Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) wrapping up on Saturday, the Hollins riders took at at the region's best on Sunday. Hollins competed in the eight team, Zone 4 Region 2 Championship show to decide the representatives to the IHSA Zone 4 Finals in early April.
  • Sheffer Named High Point Rider At UVa

    The Hollins riding team competed in their final regular season Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) on Saturday when they took aim at seven regional foes. The show was held in Charlottesville and hosted by the University of Virginia.
  • Hollins Runner-Up At Lynchburg

    After a third place effort in front of Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) founder Bob Cacchione at home on Saturday, Hollins traveled to Lynchburg for a spring show, competing in an eight school field. The riders would improve on their previous day's finish with a runner-up effort, finishing only behind Bridgewater College.

    The Hollins riding team hosted their 2019 Spring Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) event on Saturday. IHSA founder Bob Cacchione stopped by the event as Hollins finished third in the eight team show.

    The Hollins riding team was back in Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) action on Saturday when they traveled to the Shenandoah Valley. Hollins would compete with seven other teams in an event co-hosted by Bridgewater and James Madison.
  • Riders Third In Spring Debut

    After finishing up the fall portion of their Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) events back in early November, the Hollins riders returned to action on Sunday with a trip to Randolph. Hollins would compete with seven other schools in their 2019 IHSA debut.
  • Reserve Champions Once Again

    The Hollins riding team traveled back to the Hill City on Saturday when they competed for the fourth, and final, Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) event of the fall. After being named Reserve Champion at Randolph College last week, the riders looked for a repeat performance when they took on seven other schools at the event hosted by the University of Lynchburg.

    The third fall event on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) calendar for Hollins was a trip to Randolph College. Hollins finished runner-up to the host WildCats, bringing home Reserve Champion honors.

    The Hollins riding team competed for the second time this fall in an Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) event on Saturday. After opening the season at UVa, Hollins traveled to the Shenandoah Valley for an event co-hosted by Bridgewater and James Madison.

    The 2018-19 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) season got started for Hollins on Saturday. The first event of the new season was a trip to compete in a co-hosted event, University of Virginia/Washington and Lee, in Charlottesville.
  • Hollins Announces New Equestrian Program Director and Head Riding Coach

    Hollins University has named Sherri West as director of the school’s equestrian program and head riding coach. She will oversee all aspects of the program, including teaching classes, conducting practices, and preparing the equestrian team and individual riders for competition in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
