    Friday night, the Hollins volleyball team took the court for the last time during the 2017 regular season. The trip to face Guilford marked the last scheduled match against old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) competition.
  • Hollins Faces Roanoke In Home Finale

    For the final time this regular season, the Hollins volleyball team took to her home court. The opponent, Hollins cross-town rivals from Roanoke College. The Maroons came into the match looking to solidify a berth in the eight team, end of season, Old Dominion athletic Conference (ODAC) Volleyball Tournament while the green and gold was looking to end their home schedule with a big win.
  • Short Turnaround Hurts Hollins

    After returning from a trip to Shenandoah after midnight, the Hollins volleyball team was back on the bus eight hours later to travel to Lexington for a tri-match. Hollins would face Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) powerhouse, Washington and Lee before a rematch with John Wesley in the afternoon.

    As the regular season begins to wind down, the Hollins volleyball team traveled to Shenandoah to do battle with the Hornets. Prior to the match, the home team would take a few moments to honor their lone senior.

    For the final time before they join the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) next season, Hollins took on Ferrum College in a non-conference matchup. It was the second of five straight matches away from home for a Hollins team that is entering her last two weeks of regular season play.

    A long road trip begins for the Hollins volleyball team as they traveled to face Salem College on Thursday night. It marked the second time that the two teams met, Salem defeated the green and gold way back in the beginning of the season at the Maroon Classic.

    For the second time in as many nights, the Hollins volleyball team defended her home court in non-conference matchups. After defeating Trinity (DC) less than 24 hours ago, Hollins looked to make it two in a row as they hosted Southern Virginia University.

    The Hollins volleyball team welcomed Trinity Washington to their home court for a non-conference match on Monday night. It was the second time that Hollins had battled the Tigers, winning earlier this season in Washington, DC.

    The Hollins volleyball team made the four hour trek to the coast for a Saturday morning showdown with Virginia Wesleyan. The Marlins came into the matchup as one of the best teams in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), currently third in the league, and Hollins would need a big effort to try to pull off the upset.

    Tuesday night would prove to be a tough task for the young Hollins volleyball team. The two-time defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Champion Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets came to Roanoke for a conference match. The Yellow Jackets brought a, perfect, 5-0 ODAC record into the matchup.

    The Hollins volleyball team finished her three match road swing when they faced Mount Aloysius on Saturday morning. The match was less than 20 hours after Hollins fell in Altoona to Penn State on Friday night. The green and gold looked to end the month on a high note as the calendar turns tomorrow.

    For the second time this week, the Hollins volleyball team was on the road. After facing Lynchburg College, Hollins took a trip to Pennsylvania to face Penn State Altoona on Friday night.

    Wednesday night marked the first of a three game road trip for the Hollins volleyball team. Lynchburg was the first stop for Hollins as they looked to get into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win column versus the Hornets.

Hollins was in search of her first ODAC win, a win that would push the home team past the Wasps in the conference standings.

    After hosting four consecutive home matches, the Hollins volleyball team returned to the road in hopes of getting back in the win column. The green and gold would travel to our nation's capital to face Trinity D.C. on Monday night. It was the first of two matches with the Tigers this season as Trinity is scheduled to come to Roanoke in early October.

    After finishing up on the court with Eastern Mennonite last night, Hollins was right back in action on Saturday morning when they hosted one of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's (ODAC) best. Bridgewater College, fresh off a win at Roanoke College last night, came to Hollins looking to make it two conference wins in a row.

    For the third time in less than a 24 hour period, the Hollins volleyball team defended her home court when they faced off with John Wesley University on Saturday afternoon. Both teams were bested by Bridgewater College earlier in the day and each went looking to salvage a win.

    Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play continued for Hollins as they welcomed Eastern Mennonite for a Friday night showdown. The two conference foes came into the match looking to pick up their first ODAC victory.

    After finishing up her first non-conference part of the schedule, the Hollins volleyball team hosted Randolph College to kick off Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play on Wednesday night. Hollins started the season 3-0 for the first time in decades and brought a winning record, 4-3, into ODAC play.

    After falling for the fist time this season on day one, Hollins looked to get back on track on day two of the Roanoke College Maroon Classic. Methodist University was the first opponent as the green and gold would play twice on Saturday afternoon.

    For the second time this week, Hollins squared off with Mary Baldwin in the finale of the 2017 Roanoke College Maroon Classic. Hollins swept the Squirrels in Staunton on Wednesday night and needed to repeat that performance in order to avoid a fourth loss in the two day event.

    The Hollins University volleyball team kicked of the 2017 Maroon Classic, hosted by Roanoke College, with a match against Sewanee on Friday at noon. Hollins looked to improve on it's 3-0 start to the season against a Tiger team that had yet to taste victory in the new campaign.

    After suffering her first defeat of the season earlier in the day, the Hollins volleyball team was looking to get back on track against Salem College. The match with the Spirits was the second of the day in the 2017 Roanoke College Maroon Classic.

    After opening the season with a 2-0 sweep of Wesleyan and Wilson on Saturday, the Hollins volleyball team went on the road for the first time in hopes of keeping her perfect record. Hollins traveled to face Mary Baldwin on Wednesday night and wasted little time in taking control of the matchup.

    After earning her first win of the season in the morning, Hollins faced off with Wilson College in the finale looking to get off to their first 2-0 start since the University brought back volleyball as an NCAA sport in 2010. Standing in Hollins way was a Phoenix team that just came off the court after losing a five set match with Wesleyan College.
  • 2017 ODAC Volleyball Preseason Poll Released

    Monday afternoon marked the first of the 2017-18 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) individual sport preseason polls. The league's 12 volleyball coaches voted and when the order was released, Hollins was tabbed 12th.
