Event: Swimming - Final Day of the 2019 ODAC Swim Championships (Greensboro, NC)
The lead: The third, and final, day of the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Swim Championships took place on Sunday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Hollins moved up the standings on day two and after the conclusion of the 18 event, meet, Hollins finished sixth in the 12 team field.

How it happened: Hollins would place a pair of swimmers in three different event finals on the third day of competition. Summer Jaime would swim a pair of evening events, starting with the longest race of the meet, the 1650 Freestyle. Jaime also earned a spot in the final heat of the 200 Freestyle. In the 200 Breaststroke, Hanna DeVarona would post the 11th best prelim time when she touched at 2:38.05.
Hollins in the Finals:
- Jaime would finish 17th in the 1650 before coming back four events later to secure 14th place points in the 200 Free.
- DeVarona would best her preliminary time by almost one full second and claim a spot in the top 10 of the 200 Breaststroke (2:37.23)
- The final event of the meet, the 400 Freestyle Relay would see the quartet of Maya Schattgen, Molly Sullivan, Emily Miehlke, and DeVarona qualify with a time of 4:01.36. In the finals, the relay team would finish the championships with a sixth place effort. The time of 3:58.57 was just 2.93 seconds off the Hollins program record.
What's next: The conclusion of the championship meet marked the end of the 2018-19 regular season swim schedule. Hollins sixth place finish in the Championships equaled their spot in the ODAC Preseason Poll.
